Before & After Tips
Before Red Light Therapy:
- Start with a Clean Slate (aka Clean Skin): Makeup, lotions, oils — your skin doesn’t need extra guests at the red light party. Wash up so the light can work its magic without distractions.
- Exfoliate (Gently, You’re Not Sandpaper): A light scrub helps shed dead skin cells, so the red light can get straight to the good stuff. No need to go full loofah warrior — just a little buff will do.
- Hydrate Like a Cactus in a Spa: Drink water beforehand and, if your skin’s on the dry side, a light moisturizer can help. But skip the greasy stuff unless you want to slide right off the bed.
- Dress Down (or Don’t): More exposed skin = more glow. Wear loose clothes… or none at all if you're in a private room and feeling bold. RLT doesn’t judge.
- Ditch the Bling: Remove jewelry, watches, and anything shiny unless you're going for tan lines shaped like a bracelet. The light needs a clear shot.
After Red Light Therapy:
- Moisturize Like You Mean It: Post-glow skin is thirsty. Give it what it wants with a good moisturizer to lock in that "just returned from a spa retreat" feel.
- Hold Off on Suds: Avoid showering or washing immediately after. Let the glow marinate for an hour or so — you’ve earned it.
- Be Nice to Your Skin: No harsh skincare products right after. Put the retinol and acid peels down. Today’s vibe is gentle, dewy goddess.
- Consistency is the Secret Sauce: One session won’t turn you into a glowing unicorn overnight. Come 2–3 times a week to keep that radiant rhythm going.
- SPF Like a Boss: Even though red light doesn’t burn you like the sun, your fresh-faced glow still needs daily protection. Sunscreen is your BFF — don’t ghost her.
